Unwise credit usage has limited many people's ability to effectively play the financial game of life. Ill-advised credit management decisons often result in people being denied access to economic opportunities, not because of the color of their skin or the content of their character, but only because of a score on their credit report. The credit score has emerged as the most important determinant in the credit-granting process. Frederick Douglass, an African American statesman, was right when he said, that we "may not get everything that we pay for; but we must pay for everything that we get." We must all pay for everything that we purchase. however, individuals with low credit score must pay more for their financed purchases.
