| Free Adobe® Flex™ Builder for the unemployed, students and faculty |
After Walgreens, which is offering free access to its health clinics through the end of 2009, Abode Inc has become another company to come up with a free offer for the unemployed. The company is offering Adobe® Flex™ Builder 3 Professional free for unemployed developers. According to its Web site, the offer requires you to attest to the following:I attest that the following statements are true:
1) I am not currently employed or being paid to develop software applications or web pages
2) Adobe Flex Builder 3 Software I receive under this program is for my personal use to learn about Adobe Flex and improve my skills
3) My license to use Flex Builder 3 under this program will not be used for production or commercial purposes, nor will it be transferred to any other person or entity, including to my employer should I become employed. The company is also offering free Flex Builder 3 Pro software for students and faculty.
For people who don't fall under either category, Adobe does offer free 60-day trial of Flex Builder.
While this offer may not mean much to most people, this is a good deal for developers who create Flash-based, interactive files which frequently appear as widgets on many sites. Adobe Flex Builder is one of the leading tools for creating such interactive widgets.
